Castleroberts Salmon and Trout Fishery is situated on the Maigue River, Co. Limerick, 2 km from Adare Caravan and Camping Park. It sonsists of 2km of salmon and trout fishing on the right bank. With easy access from the road and paths along the river bank, this is an ideal spot for reeling in the catch of the day.
Ownership
This section of the Maigue river is managed by the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board.

Salmon - 1st February - 30th September
Trout - 15th February - 30th September

State Rod Licence is required for fishing for salmon

Salmon
1st February to 31st May - 1 salmon per angler per day
1st June to 30th September - 3 salmon per angler per day
If bag limit caught, fly only fishing is allowed and catch and release
Maximum of 20 salmon in the whole season

Size limit - 10 inches
Fishing methods
Fly fishing only for trout
Fly, spinning and worm fishing for salmon
Fishing with prawn or maggot is not permitted
